DESCRIPTION: The Ekygard formula contains the 3 essential ingredients recommended by the European College of Equine Internal Medicine. These are a pectin-lecithin complex, lithothamnion and Yea-Sacc (Saccharamoyces cerevisae), a brewer's yeast. The pectin-lecithin complex forms a gel that protects your horse's stomach lining against acid secretions.Lithothamnion has a buffer effect, meaning that it reduces the acidity in your horse's stomach.Yea-Sacc (Saccharamoyces cerevisae) is a probiotic that balances the bacterial flora (or microbiota) to aid digestion in the gut.In addition to these 3 essential ingredients, the formula also contains Aloe vera, which has a soothing effect, clay to promote protection of the stomach, and marsh-mallow (Althaea officinalis).

USES: EKYGARD is a feed supplement that can be used continuously all year round for your horse, thereby preventing too much stomach acidity. It can also be given occasionally. In this case, plan ahead for gastric acidity peaks related to specific events: transportation, competition, medication, etc. Give EKYGARD for 3 to 4 days before such events and for at least 1 week afterwards.

Instructions for use: Daily allowance: 1 measure=20 g Adult horses: 2 level measures morning and evening. Foals: 1 measure morning and evening. Ekygard belongs to the ADP programme and can be used without any risk of a horse testing positive during competition.
